National Center support
The National Center’s mission is to expand the Program to reach more under-resourced families in more underserved communities. We do this by:
- Working with states, counties, and cities to identify high-need communities and strong replication partners to serve those communities;
- Providing the nationwide network of Program sites guidance on model implementation, staff training and supervision, funding, etc.;
- Establishing proven and effective standards and norms for sites to follow;
- Working with the sites to acquire and utilize high quality, inexpensive, culturally appropriate curricular materials for families;
- Providing comprehensive training and technical assistance and Program materials for all site staff;
- Evaluating sites’ participant data to ensure they are reaching families most in need of services, providing quality services, and achieving the expected outcomes for both parents and children.
This strategy has helped the Program reach over 70,000 families over the past 50 years.
